Who we are
Table by Chef Lucas is a trading name of Chef Lucas Catering Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15843538, VAT number GB 491 2179 82), registered office 99 High Street, Burton upon Trent, DE14 1LJ. We are the “controller” of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at Lucas.Toborek@tablebycheflucas.com.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry
Through the forms on this website we collect your name and surname, email address and the details you choose to give us: whether the enquiry is private or corporate, your company name and position, phone number, number of guests, the evening or service you are interested in, and your message.
How you found us
To help us reply well, each enquiry also records which page the form was on and which button brought you to it. If you agree in the privacy notice, we also record how you arrived at the website (for example, from Google or Instagram), the first page you visited and which sample menus you looked at. See “Browser storage” below.
When you book
To plan and deliver your dinner we may collect the event date and address, guest numbers, and dietary requirements and allergies. Information about allergies or health conditions is “special category” information, and we only use it, with your agreement, to prepare food safely for you and your guests.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider automatically keeps basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, for security and to keep the website running.
How and why we use it

We never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, which hosts this website and keeps a copy of enquiry forms.
- FormSubmit, which delivers enquiry forms to our email inbox.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores our emails.
- Our accountant and payment providers, where needed to take payments and keep our accounts.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the protections the law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
- Booking, invoice and membership records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required for tax purposes.
- Allergy and dietary information: deleted within 3 months after your event, unless you ask us to keep it for future bookings.
- News emails: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics trackers, and our fonts are hosted on our own website, so visiting does not send your details to third parties such as Google.
If you choose “Accept” in our privacy notice, we use your browser’s session storage to remember how you arrived at the website, the first page you visited, which sample menus you looked at and which button you last clicked. This information stays in your browser, is cleared when you close it, and is only sent to us if you submit an enquiry. If you choose “No thanks”, none of this is stored.
We save your choice itself in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on every page. You can change your choice at any time using “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email Lucas.Toborek@tablebycheflucas.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
